Fearfully & Wonderfully Made

In the world we live in right now there are three big issues (abortion, homosexuality, and gender) that have Christians feeling a bit back on our heels and confused.

I think many Christians know what they believe about these issues generally based on the Bible but most Christians don’t speak up or speak clearly because they are not confident in their ability to winsomely articulate their Biblical beliefs to a world that is ready to fiercely debate and cancel you.

What are Christians to do?

What are Bible-teachers to do?

I love verse-by-verse Bible teaching and it is what I do. However, I came across this quote that is either from Martin Luther or Elizabeth Rundle Charles (there is debate).

“If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the Devil are at the moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ.”

Whoever said it… it challenges me. I believe there should be more clear, direct, Biblical, and loving teaching on the big issues that are flying around in the public school classrooms and corporate workplaces of the people who are part of our church.

THE VIDEO

-Quick self-filmed Vimeo Promo Video
-Thanks James Winstead for helping edit. You are the man!
-I chose some b-roll local photographs that represent exactly what I am talking about in the video, even a picture of a ‘church’ in my community downtown where I have friends. However, I have personally sat in that church building and heard Scripture get twisted and truth get hidden on these very issues.
