Celebration Sunday Reflections

1. The total amount raised/pledged is currently at $298,600!!! This includes nearly $30,000 in first-fruit gifts!

Perspective:

  • The numbers have changed since the picture was taken. Please continue to join in!
  • This amount is above successful! We were told to expect between $175,000-275,000 based upon past data from similar campaigns in churches that are the same size as us.
  • Our overall mountain top goal is $405,000. Therefore, we still have some work to do! There is still opportunity for outside partners to invest in what God is doing and make a big impact. There is also still opportunity for current, new, and future members to make a pledge to the Transformission Campaign.

2. We saw 46 Transformission Pledges turned in. This is not 46 people, but rather it is 46 families and/or giving units.

Perspective:

  • Most church campaigns like ours see around 50% participation from their givers in the church body. We had over 70% overall participation (100% from leaders) in the Transformission Campaign. This may be the most encouraging measurable of all!
  • The average gift per giving unit was over $6,000! This represents generosity from our church family marked by sacrifice and faith!
  • This speaks to the “buy-in” and “unity” God has blessed our church with in this season. We absolutely praise God for this!

3. Transformission has been a vision and discipleship campaign. From the outset we said our goals were not just to raise funds.

Other Measurable Successes:

  • We have seen small groups, marriages, and individuals take steps of faith out of their comfort zone. We cannot wait to see how God honors these steps of faith in our individual lives and families.
  • We have seen new leaders emerge and step up in amazing ways. For example: Johnny, Willie, and Abra… just to name a few.
  • We have seen breakthrough vision clarity through refined values, a new mission statement, a 7-year vision paper, and much more that will roll out soon!
  • We have seen God bless us with incredible unity within our church body. Let’s seek to maintain this unity (Eph. 4).

4. Reflecting on all of this causes me to think about how far Fellowship Raleigh has come in the past 1-2 years. (More to come on that journey in a forthcoming blog post).

I can sometimes be a person who is hard to read. So here is how I feel about all this!
