Some Good Apologetics Books

We are doing a short sermon series at Fellowship Raleigh titled, ‘Why Believe.’ After this I am excited to get back to Ephesians verse-by-verse. Anyhow, we are asking 4 questions: 1- Why believe in the Resurrection of Jesus, 2- Why believe in the Bible, 3- Why believe in hell, 4- Why believe in the church.

I wanted to share some resources that have helped me. Other than the Bible and several good commentaries on the Bible… here are some books that have been helpful for me.

  • Reason for God, Tim Keller
  • Unchristian, by David Kinnaman & Gabe Lyons
  • Handbook of Christian Apologetics, by Peter Kreeft & Ronald Tacelli
  • Why Believe, by C. Stephen Evans
  • New Evidence that Demands a Verdict, by Josh McDowell
  • I’m Glad You Asked, by Ken Boa & Larry Moody
  • The Resurrection of the Son of God, by N.T. Wright
  • The Case For Faith, by Lee Strobel
  • Vintage Jesus, by Mark Driscoll
  • The Case For Christ, by Lee Strobel
  • Four Views on Hell, Edited by Stanley Gundry
  • Reasonable Faith, William Lane Craig
